Hemp Seed Hearts

These are amazing. They are high in protein, healthy fats, and vitamins such as Omega 3 and 6. They have a faint nutty taste to them, and add texture to oatmeal, yogurt, salads and smoothies. I sprinkle these on my breakfast every morning. Definitely a fave.

 Chia Seeds

These are like a miracle seed. They are hydrating, high in protein, high in fiber, Omega 3’s, and antioxidants (just to name a few). They are great egg substitutes, and create awesome puddings!

Rice Protein Powder

Since I am allergic to legumes, I can’t use any protein powder that has soy, pea protein, or nuts. I opt for this rice protein powder. I really love the nutrition facts on this one. 1 heaping scoop has only 60 calories, 1 gram of sugar, and 13 grams of protein. Not only are the numbers great, but it tastes really wonderful.

Sunflower Seed Butter

If you have allergies, this stuff is amazing. I pretty much live on the stuff. It’s nut free and high in protein and healthy fats.

Buckwheat Groats (Kasha)

I’ve been really into buckwheat groats lately. “Kasha” is the toasted version. It’s got a beautifully nutty flavor, and a chewy texture. They are gluten free, low calorie and high in fiber. I usually eat them for breakfast :
